Protection boundary
EUR 100,000 follows the depositor and legal bank—not a French IBAN.
FGDR generally protects eligible deposits up to EUR 100,000 per depositor per French credit institution. That supports eligible deposits at Boursorama. N26, bunq and Revolut have similar headline limits under different home-state schemes.
Nickel's segregated account, Wise safeguarding, PayPal balances, investments and crypto assets do not become direct FGDR deposits.

Confirm institution, depositor, product and aggregate eligible accounts.
Home-state scheme
An EU passport or French IBAN does not change the legal bank's scheme.
Segregated or safeguarded
Customer-fund separation is materially different from a direct deposit.
E-money or crypto
Authorisation does not create a bank deposit or guarantee market value.
Eligibility
Residence, identity, age, product and acceptance change access.
BoursoBank retains onboarding and card acceptance conditions. Nickel has identity, age and residence rules. Every cross-border provider retains customer, business, account and verification conditions. Availability is not an approval promise.

- The cited page says non-EEA tax residency, including United States or United Kingdom tax residency, does not currently satisfy account-opening eligibility.
